Team Z VBC will host several open group lessons in the next couple of weeks. These are no obligation sessions that can be full or partially attended. They are free of charge and will be hosted in Schmidt Fieldhouse on the campus of Xavier University. Attendees should bring workout gear, water supply and will be required to have parental approval and signed wavier form before being allowed to participate. From OVR ...Clubs may offer and sign athletes from their previous season to binding contracts that are offered from July 1-21. Athletes have until July 31 to accept. If they do not accept they will fall into the tryout system that takes place at the end of the scholastic season. In 2012 offers can be issued June 1.

Not intended by the Advisory Board but being used are “Confidential Calls” of interest in programs which in effect opens up the whole pool of athletes to recruitment in the month of July.

In order to not be put at a competitive disadvantage Team Z will offer existing club members this week. Invitations and contracts can be returned ASAP or by July 31, 2010. These contracts should not be interpreted as a contract with the Ohio Valley Region as Team Z has not yet decided on a registration option.

Contracts have been issued for Orange and Navy teams ages 15-18.  There is no financial commitment due at this time.
